Startup Landing Page Template: Setting The Stage For My Experiment
In this article we are going to be looking at Framer templates specifically.
Framer is one of the newest and most popular website builders, characterized by its outstanding user experience and ease-of-use. Even if you have no experience at all, if you spend a couple of afternoons watching tutorials from Framer Academy, you can quickly grasp the core concepts of building sites with Framer.
There is also a wide variety of Framer Templates you can choose from.
So, with that out of the way, let's look at some good examples of high converting Framer templates for startup founders.
I Tested 3 Startup Landing Page Designs: Here’s What I Found
An important thing to keep in mind while looking at the following examples is that all of these Framer templates are easily editable.
So, even if a template you like is not necessarily built for your niche, by tweaking the copy and the illustrations you can easily make it fit your business.
The most important things to look for in a template are:
Does it fit your brand's aesthetic?
Does it have all of the features you think you'd need (blog, case studies, contact form, etc.)?
Landing Page #1: Axios
Axios is a super clean template with a lighter mood that also has a very good conversion funnel in place.
The 5 pages (Home, Product, Roadmap, Changelog, and Contact) give you great flexibility and allows you to comprehensively showcase your product.
The contact page has a great layout with a contact form, and contact info.
Price: FREE
Key features: Light mode, playful, great conversion funnel, changelog and roadmap pages
Landing Page #2: Slice
Slice is again a light-mode design, but this one is a bit more serious than the previous template we saw.
Also, it consists of a conversion-focused home page funnel, and a contact page. Even though you only get 2 pages, the home page ensures you have all the sections you need to effectively present your product.
It's originally intended to be used by software products in the real-estate niche but you can adapt it to your product by changing a few images and copy.
Price: FREE
Key features: Light mode, more serious design, one-page conversion funnel, great contact page
Landing Page #3:
Boost is one of the most comprehensive start up templates you can find that are also free.
It features over 20 (yes, 20!) responsive, ready-to-publish pages with various themes, ensuring you'll have more than you need to create your new website.
Although it has quite a simple design, it is still stylish and very well crafted.
Price: FREE
Key features: Light mode, over 20 unique pages
Here’s What All High-Converting Startup Websites Have In Common
Having designed and looked at hundreds of websites in the past year, I've noticed some patterns that well-performing websites have in common.
Things like certain sections, elements and themes that all make for a better user experience and make it easier for your site visitors to convert.
Of course, these are just best practices and to find what truly best works for your audience (warm or cold) you need to test out different layouts and approaches.
5 Must-Have Elements I Look For In A Landing Page Template For Startups
The key things that make a startup website convert well are:
A well thought-out conversion funnel that clearly showcases your product, its features and benefits
A clear conversion point that allows your customers to either sign up, or at least give you their contact information
An easy to understand pricing section that clearly outlines all your plans, and the features they have
A design and aesthetic that match the nature of your product
A free or low-ticker lead magnet can make it significantly easier for your visitors to give you their email, and then for you to follow up with them
